While I appreciate it is important for you to know a bit about me, I would prefere to learn about you. After all this is all about YOU, achieving the best you can be and living a richer, more fulfilling life.

I do thank-you for taking the time to check out a little about me as your counselling partner in achieving your goals and feel extremely privileged you have chosen my service to assist you in your personal transformation.

I have been a resident of the East Gippsland community since 1994. Growing up in outer eastern Melbourne, my family holidayed in the East Gippsland area for many years. I relocated to the Gippsland region to undertake studies at Monash University in 1989 to complete the first of two university courses in the Social Welfare field.

I commenced my professional career in Warragul before relocating to Bairnsdale six months later and have provided service to the community in a number of roles for Child & Adolescent Services, Advance TAFE’s Inclusion (Integration) Program as Coordinator, Department of Justice both in Victims of Crime and Working with Offenders, Mission Australia’s Employment services and the East Gippsland Specialist School.

2012 saw me return to disAbility services and more recently bringing together my experience and expertise to provide private service to the East Gippsland Community.

I took some time out of providing service to the East Gippsland Community in 2000, choosing to work in the Timber Industry for a few of years before I had a serious car crash in 2001. In 2006 I returned to work in the Community Services sector at the East Gippsland Specialist School.

Like many East Gippslanders, I really enjoy activities associated with our lakes systems and natural bush havens. I have also been actively involved in the Paynesville Lioness Club and Pregnancy Loss Australia and has participated in various groups and clubs over the years including the East Gippsland Football Umpires Association, quilting and scrapbooking groups.

Over the years I have seen many changes in the local community and values the opportunity for regular skill development. My commitment to ongoing professional development is critical to ensuring you receive the best possible service and opportunities.

I believe I can only offer you a quality service if my own professional development is kept up to date. I engage in professional development on a regular basis to ensure you get the very best service I can offer.

The service I offer is unique in that all the areas of employment I have engaged has sat among the most challenging life can offer. From this experience I offer you a truly unique way of working, drawing from over 30 years experience in the industry.

I get so much out of seeing you reawaken existing skills and develop new skills, all in the name of achieving your goals and transforming your life to live by what is most important to you.

More recently I have come to appreciate the huge work load and challenges of caring for a loved one. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and it is fair to say life has really had its challenges since this time. This has become our new normal.

In March 2013 Crossroads Counselling & Consulting was born and built around key values I believe are essential to providing a safe, supportive and effective environment for you to work through life’s challenges. These are:

  • Confidentiality
  • Honesty
  • Respect
  • Compassion
  • Non-judgement
  • Empathy
  • Resilience

Identifying the barriers that prevent us from living our lives by our personal values can be a real challenge, particularly when life throws up more barriers to derail us, sometimes multiple times in one day.

We all experience barriers in our lives, relationships break down, we or some one close to us experiences a life changing event, challenges at home, work and school. The service I provide to you is based on working at your pace and adding to your tool box for life to navigate and manage it’s many and ongoing challenges.

I strive to ensure I offer you the best service I can and support you in achieving your personal goals to transform your life.

I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and walk along side you in making your life what ever you want it to be.

To take that step and begin your very own life transformation to achieve your goals just follow the link below and I will get back to you to make that initial appointment and get started.
